About Jake Foran

Jake Foran joined the RCMP in 2008 after earning his bachelor’s degree at St. Thomas University and has been posted to communities in Nova Scotia as well as Newfoundland and Labrador. He earned a Team Nick Coates Award from MADD due to his focus on impaired driving and community safety. With a career spent in frontline policing and always an advocate for strong labour relations, Jake joined the NPF as a Local Area Representative in 2019 and joined the Board of Directors in 2024.

He now sits on the National Police Federation Benevolent Foundation (NPFBF) Board, the Uniform, Equipment & Asset Steering Committee, and the Insurance Advisory Committee. Jake also fosters strong relationships within his area of responsibility.

Jake married his wife Justine, an RCMP Member, in 2014, and they have two children together, Parker and Gracelyn. 

Key Accomplishments:

  • Recipient of the MADD Canada Team Nick Coates award in 2021 for efforts detecting and apprehending impaired drivers.  
  • Part-time/full-time labour relations since 2019.
  • Is committed to giving back to Members, and spent five years as an NPF Local Area Representative for Members in Newfoundland. 
  • Elected as NPF Atlantic/Central Director in June 2024. 
  • 16 years of contract policing.
