Workplace Issues and Support Before Certification

Since we filed our application for certification on April 18, many members have called, emailed or messaged us about ongoing workplace issues and their need for assistance in these cases. Brian, Peter and Eddie welcome these calls and emails and will take the time to assist in any way possible despite our current limited human resources.

We are doing everything we can to expedite the unavoidably long certification process, to help you get the representation you need and deserve. A strong independent collective voice is something this membership has gone too long without and we will continue to advocate for the membership in this manner within our capacity.

Until we are the recognized labour body authorized or recognized to act on behalf of members, we recommend you utilize the existing resources that are in place. Although not ideal, they are still the official and funded support system for RCMP members. Should this system fail you, please let us know and we will do all we can to advocate internally for you.

As noted in a previous update, we are compiling a library of labour code and occupational health and safety issues for future reference at OHS@npf-fpn.com.
