The NPF asked Casey Ward, President of the Regina Police Association, on why he thinks members should vote “Yes” for national representation and the NPF. Here’s what he had to say:
“Your Association is an active voice employees can turn to when issues arise out of their employment. Associations deal with collective bargaining, harassment in the work place and workplace safety. Associations also advocate for their members during issues arising from workplace discipline. They protect members and ensure they have an active voice in the workplace.”
Some members reported they haven’t received their voting instructions, or they found them in their “Junk” folder, so the voting instructions were re-sent to all members again on Monday, November 26 through Groupwise. If you still haven’t received your package, please contact the Voter Helpline at 1-833-579-5673, weekdays 08:30-16:30 EST. And please note each member can only vote once.
During the voting phase, it is more important than ever for all members to join the NPF to be kept aware of the voting process. Please share this information with your colleagues who have not yet made their decision to join the NPF.
