The NPF is pleased to announce the FPSLREB has released the certification vote results. You can read the entire decision here (link).
As you can see, the ballots have been counted and the NPF has won a majority (96.9% of ballots cast) in the certification vote with the ballot count as follows:
# of eligible voters: 17,734
# of ballots cast: 14,459
# of ballots for NPF: 14,012
# of ballots against NPF: 437
This means that the NPF is the first ever certified bargaining agent for the membership of the RCMP. We are in the process of serving Treasury Board with a “Notice to Bargain” and will begin that phase shortly.
Congratulations to all, you have made history.
