Out of Office Voting, Nominations Oversight and Future Elections

Following the GroupWise email, we’ve had a few member inquiries about the upcoming election of NPF’s inaugural Board of Directors and wanted to share our responses with all of you:

How to Vote if you’re Out of Office:

As the voting for the NPF Board will take place through GroupWise, if you are out of the office for an extended period (AOL, LWOP, ODS etc) please self-identify with an email to support@npf-fpn.com  before October 10, 2019 in order to receive a ballot at your personal email address. We ask that you provide: your full name, work email address, personal email address, HRMIS# and posting.

Member Representative Unit Nomination Qualification Oversight:

We apologize that in the Nomination Qualifications, the Member Representative Unit was not recognized or noted as an RCMP labour body. Should any member with the relevant experience in the Member Representative Unit be nominated with the requisite qualifications for the nominated position these qualifications will be accepted.

Future Local Workplace Representative Elections in 2020:

This current election is for the 17 full time Board of Directors positions. The NPF will follow up these elections with local workplace representative elections in early 2020. We encourage members who have an interest in RCMP Labour relations to consider putting their name forward in these future local elections. Police associations across Canada, including the NPF, rely on part time representatives to assist members daily and build future leaders for their respective associations. We encourage those of you who are interested to stay tuned for more information regarding these positions.
